Rabbi EMERITUS
Rabbi Ellis Bloch was the Rabbi of the Washington Heights Congregation for 22 years and, like the previous two rabbis of the shul, he retired to Israel, where he now lives with his wife Leah. He went to high school, college, and RIETS at Yeshiva University, and worked as a teacher and then administrator at the YU high schools for over 25 years. Since 1997, he has been an Associate Director, Day School Education, The Jewish Education Project, and he also served as co-chair of the Board of the Jewish Community Council of Washington Heights and Inwood.
