Tamsin Wolf
Tamsin came to Washingon Heights with her husband Bob in 1989 and promptly became a member of the Washington Heights Congregation. Bob served as president of the shul from 2012 to 2015 and continues to serve as a Board member.
SHUL ADMINISTRATOR EMERITUS
Ilse Gruenspecht
Ilse was born in Bad Hersfeld, a small town near Fulda, Germany, and came to the US with her parents and brother in 1937. They moved to West 161st Street, the same street as the original magnificent Washington Heights Congregation building. Thus her association with the shul goes back more than 75 years. Ilse's husband Martin o"h was former shul President (1989-1995) and Board member. In addition to being the Shul Administrator of the Washington Heights Congregation, Ilse was the office manager for Beth Hillel/Beth Israel in Washington Heights as well as a real estate firm. She currently also serves as a committee member of the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, which distributes monies to Holocaust survivors.
